There’s no doubt about it – attending a Post-Secondary Institution is expensive. Currently, students are looking at a considerable investment of time and money. Tuition, books, and supplies as well as the cost of living can make some people hesitate to follow their dreams. Don’t let that be you! Reach out for the financial supports that are available to students across Canada.

The University of Lethbridge gives out millions dollars to our students every year. Scholarships and awards are not solely based on academic proficiency. Other criteria such as financial need, leadership potential, community involvement, work experience, artistic ability and athletic skill may also be considered. Thousands of dollars in scholarships and bursaries go unclaimed every year simply because people don’t apply, so take the time to invest in yourself.

Are you in grade 11? You too can earn a scholarship from uLethbridge for your academic achievements! To apply for the Grade 11 Merit Award and all of our other awards for high school students, high school check out discover.ulethbridge.ca. While not all awards require a separate application, some do, so doing s bit of research is highly recommended. A few minutes of your time can really pay off in a big way.

If you chose uLethbridge, you will have access to our awards but there are also provincial and federal awards that you may be eligible to receive. For example, the Alberta government provides scholarships, so look into your province’s funding options, as well as Canada-wide scholarships. You will find some handy links on our website.

So remember, a little work on your part can land you thousands of dollars. Take the stress out of your finances, every award that decreases your costs will make your life easier!
