Description:Over 10,000 employees are injured at work in Alberta every year. Some are seriously injured, even killed. As a result, organizations across the province continue to invest more time and resources to better train and equip their personnel, identify potential dangers and develop strategies and policies that keep employees safe.

The NAIT Occupational Health & Safety (OHSD) diploma program will prepare you to fill essential health and safety roles in industry to meet the growing demands of government regulations.

  •  Grade12 Pure Mathematics  or  Grade12 Mathematics  or  Grade12 Applied Mathematics 
  • 2 of  Grade11 Biology  or  Grade11 Chemistry  or  Grade11 Physics  or  Grade11 Science 

Applicants are required to have 60% Grade 12 English, 50% in Pure Math 30 or Math 30-1 or 60% in Math 30-2 or Applied Math 30, and 60% in two of: Science 20, Physics 20, Chemistry 20 or Biology 20. Applicants who meet the minimum academic requirements but are lacking the competitive requirements and who also have related experience are encouraged to contact the Program Chair prior to applying.
