This award from the Canadian Engineering Memorial Foundation is in honour of its founder Claudette MacKay-Lassonde, a pioneer for women in Canadian engineering.
The award is for a woman studying engineering full-time at the doctoral level in Canada. You must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, and should serve as a leader and ambassador for your field, just as Claudette did.

The Hans Klinkenberg Memorial Scholarship is explicitly for students of colleges and technical institutes ? no university students, please!
The Canadian Institute of Geomatics offers awards ranging from $500 to $2,000 for geomatics students, a branch of engineering focused on geographic data. If you're interested in engineering but not attending a four-year university, this may be a great award for you.

If you've already got some engineering credentials, but want to return to university for further study or research, you may be eligible for this award from Engineers Canada.
To qualify, you've got to be a registered engineer (P.Eng./ing.) and a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. You don't have to attend school in Canada, though you'll need to share details of your study plans and research interests.

If you're living and attending school in Saskatchewan, and you're heading into a field related to telecommunications ? like engineering, for example! ? you could qualify for one of seven awards.
Your program can be for a degree, diploma, or even a certificate, but you've got to have decent grades: a minimum 75% average. SaskTel encourages Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, visible minorities, and women interested in non-traditional careers to apply.

Husky Oil supports Indigenous in the communities where it operates, offering renewable scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students in engineering, environmental sciences, computer science, and more.
Applicants must demonstrate financial need and have a history of work experience and community involvement. Husky Oil also offers opportunities for professional development through its Indigenous Mentorship Program.

If you've already taken your first steps toward a career in the electrical industry ? which has many more facets than just fiddling with copper wire! ? you could be eligible for awards from Electro-Federation Canada (EFC) and its members.
Together, EFC and its member companies are giving away $140,000 to Canadian students and permanent residents all across the country. If you've completed your first year of study and have a decent grade point average, check out the many awards available.

The De Beers Group has partnered with the UN Women HeForShe Thematic Champion Initiative to provide four Canadian women (or permanent residents!) entering their first year of an undergraduate STEM program.
A preference will be given to women from remote communities in Northern Ontario, Southern Alberta, Northwest Territoties, and Nunavut, and for women of Indigenous descent.

Open to women between the ages of 16 and 28, this award honours Dr. Helen McKilligin, a pioneer in the field of neonatal nursing.
To apply, you'll need to answer a couple of short essay questions:
- An example of a time you didn't reach a goal you set for yourself, and what lessons were learned
- An example of a time you achieved something by not following the rules: you were a "rebel with a cause"
You'll also provide another essay about your program and how you'll make an impact on your community and world.

Darren L. Buium climbed the ranks of EECOL Electric over the course of his 40-year career. If you're a western student entering the first year of an engineering or tech program, this award is for you.
To apply, you need to be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, or Manitoba, and be in financial need.
You should also have an intention to explore a career in the electrical industry!

Are you a resident of northern Saskatchewan? This award is tailored to you! The Cameco scholarship focuses on the mining industry, and it's open to any northern Saskatchewan students in both university and college.

SWANA has given out over $50,000 in scholarships to British Columbia and Yukon students studying in areas related to waste management. The awards are in memory of Stuart Somerville, and favour students related to SWANA, though anyone can apply.
