Discover Concordia University’s Scholarships, Awards, and Bursaries for International Students

Paying for tuition and other school costs are stressful — especially as an international undergraduate student. Concordia University wants to ease your worries by offering plenty of scholarships to offset your costs so that you can focus on your education. Some of these scholarships will even cover your full tuition and other school costs!

Explore some of the scholarships Concordia offers for international students:

Major entrance scholarships

The best financing option is a fully-funded scholarship for international students — and Concordia offers two!

Concordia Presidential Scholarship

Each year, two incoming international students in any full-time undergraduate degree program are awarded the Concordia Presidential Scholarship. This is Concordia’s most prestigious undergraduate entrance scholarship for international students. The award covers the full cost of tuition and fees, books, and residence and meal plan fees. You can receive this award for up to four years as long as you meet the eligibility requirements.

You must be nominated by your school principals, teachers, or guidance counsellors for this award. Once you’ve been nominated and Concordia’s selection committee agrees with your nomination, you’ll be contacted in early February and invited to apply.

Concordia International Scholars

Two renewable scholarships are offered each year to incoming, full-time students from any faculty who have demonstrated academic excellence, in combination with resilience and ability to overcome personal hardship. The Concordia International Scholars award covers your tuition and fees.

To apply, you’ll need to sign into your Student Centre Account and upload the student application form, your resumé, and a 1,000-word personal statement where you express how you’ve shown resilience and overcome personal hardship while maintaining an outstanding academic performance.

Entrance Bursaries

Concordia’s Entrance Bursary Program is designed to provide financial support to newly admitted students to an Undergraduate Bachelor's degree program in any discipline of study.

To be eligible, you must:

Application-based awards

Whether you’re entering your first year of university at Concordia, or are in upper years continuing your degree, there are more scholarships and awards that you could be eligible for. Most in-course scholarships are awarded automatically based on your GPA, but a small number of scholarships and awards require an application to be considered.

The applications for these scholarships open during the month of August, and the deadline to apply is October 14, 2022.
