Ryan Reynolds Visits Seneca College
Ryan Reynolds took a tour of the labs, studios, and classrooms at the Seneca Film Institute.
On Wednesday, Feb. 1, Seneca College welcomed actor, producer, and entrepreneur Ryan Reynolds on campus.
Mr. Reynolds met with many students and employees and toured the labs, studios, and classrooms at the Seneca Film Institute (SFI) within the Faculty of Communication, Art & Design (FCAD).

“Wish something like this existed when I was starting out,” Mr. Reynolds tweeted after his visit.
His visit caused quite a stir among those on campus, and Mr. Reynolds generously posed for photos and videos, while complimenting the FCAD’s facilities and programs.
“I have visited a number of institutions and have not seen anything this advanced,” he said.
Goals of the Seneca Film Institute
Recently launched, the Seneca Film Institute brings together FCAD’s exceptional faculty, industry partners, and alumni to provide an enriched cross-disciplinary experience — including applied research and co-productions with external partners — that will give graduates the skills and experiences to thrive in Canada’s booming screen industry.
