DescriptionBuild a career with a strong foundation by becoming a bricklayer. This program will train you to prepare and lay brick and other masonry units to construct and repair walls, partitions, patios, arches, fireplaces and chimneys. Working with a variety of materials; brick, granite, concrete blocks, stones, structural tile and pre-cast panels; the program will familiarize you with the properties of various mortars and other bonding materials. Bricklayers interpret drawings and blueprints, and calculate the materials required. They work in a variety of settings including indoors and outdoors and the work can be physically demanding.
