Scholarships, bursaries and awards

CapU offers a number of scholarships, bursaries, awards that you don’t have to pay back. Find out about the Scholarships, Bursaries & Awards available to both new and returning CapU students.

Student loans and grants

If you’re a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident, you may qualify for loans or grants from the government to help you pay for your education at CapU. Find all the information at Student Loans & Grants.

Upgrading grants 

If you’re upgrading your skills or taking developmental education or training courses, the Adult Upgrading Grant could help cover your costs.

Funding for International Students

Both new and returning international students can apply for some scholarships and awards to help pay for their education. Find out more at Funding for International Students.

Funding for Youth Aged Out of Care

Advising appointments

Our Financial Aid & Awards advisors are here to support you during these extraordinary and difficult times.

Remote appointments

We offer 30-minute pre-booked phone (local calls) or online appointments at the following times:

Monday 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Tuesday 2 – 3 p.m.
Wednesday 12 – 1 p.m.
Friday 10 – 11 a.m.

In-person appointments

We will offer 30-minute, pre-booked in-person appointments – appointments available for booking by 9 a.m. same-day – at the following times:

Monday 1 – 3 p.m.
Tuesday 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Wednesday 1 – 3 p.m.
Thursday 1 – 3 p.m.

If you would like to book a Financial Aid advising appointment, please click on the “Book an Appointment” button below.

Book an Appointment

After clicking on this button, please indicate the following in the open text field:

  1. Remote or in-person appointment
  2. Reason for your request
  3. If you have selected a remote appointment, please indicate the preferred type of appointment (phone or MS Teams)

You will receive a confirmation email upon booking your appointment.

If you would like to cancel your appointment, please provide us with at least two hours' notice before your scheduled appointment.

Please note that the online appointments are conducted using MS Teams. To access this program, simply log into Office 365 using your myCapU login info and click on the MS Teams icon.
