University of Waterloo Donates Supplies to Help Fight COVID-19
Schools across the region are banding together to support healthcare workers.
University of Waterloo donates equipment
The University of Waterloo, along with other other Waterloo-region schools, has collected equipment from its science labs to help support healthcare workers on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The science faculty gathered personal protective equipment (PPE) from classrooms and labs. This includes critical items like masks and gloves — stuff that has been in short supply since the coronavirus began dominating headlines.
Working together
It's not just the University of Waterloo community donating necessary medical supplies. Conestoga College is donating protective gear, including N95 masks, and even ventilators normally used to train students.
The University of Guelph has delivered 10,000 N95 masks to a local public health agency, and the Ontario Veterinary College is gathering ventilator equipment to be used against the pandemic.
This crisis has got all hands on deck. It's inspiring to see so many people pulling as one to support front line health workers! Just another reminder that we'll get through this together.
