MMPA is a master’s level fast track to rewarding careers in professional accounting, finance, and the broader business world. Through the master’s degree, you:

• Gain an understanding of core versatile accounting and business expertise, including accounting and financial statement analysis, principles of accounting, investments, corporate finance, and business acumen.

Two streams, endless career opportunities

Depending on your undergraduate background, you will either do the one-year or two-year MMPA stream.

One-year MMPA

The one-year MMPA program emphasizes a foundation in accounting principles and is engineered around big data analytics, AI and machine learning, and case-oriented reasoning capabilities to prepare you for leadership careers of the future.

This is a specialized stream for students who completed their undergraduate degree in a Canadian university, specializing in accounting.

Two-year MMPA

The two-year MMPA program is designed for students who want to climb into leadership roles by pairing your previous studies with robust business and accounting capabilities, two paid co-op experiences and a fast track to CPA designation.

This stream is for students from any field of study who have completed a 4-year undergraduate or graduate degree.

CPA accreditation

The MMPA program is accredited by CPA Ontario, giving our students a head start on obtaining their Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. MMPA graduates can move directly to the final module (Capstone 2) of the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) and then onto the CPA Common Final Exam (CFE).

The MMPA is the only master’s degree that prepares students for all four CPA elective modules, making it the most efficient pathway for obtaining a master’s degree and a CPA designation.
