How can I find specific awards to apply for?

EFC has made browsing their awards easier than ever, breaking the available scholarships down by intended audience. You can filter opportunities by:

Location

These awards are meant for students "with connections to" specific parts of Canada. If you live in a region, or you're attending school there, you should qualify!

Personal identity

In an effort to support greater diversity and inclusion in the electrical industry, EFC and its members have opened a few awards to members of specific groups. There are plenty of awards open to all students, too!

Scholarships for women

14 scholarships meant for people who identify as women are open for applications!

Scholarships for people of colour

Ten awards are open to people of colour — you might also see the phrase "BIPOC" (meaning "Black, Indigenous, and people of colour").

Scholarships for Indigenous students

Indigenous students are eligible for awards for people of colour, above, as well as three scholarships for people of Indigenous descent.

Scholarships for all students

Finally, there are 21 scholarships open to students of all stripes, so no matter who you are, be sure to check out this list to see what's available.

13 $1,000 Doug Baldwin Memorial Scholarships for University & College Studies

Finally, on top of the many generous awards offered by its member companies, EFC is giving out a baker's dozen $1,000 scholarships to college and university students, drawn from the pool of all applicants.

These scholarships are awarded to 13 university and/or college students who are pursuing studies and a career in the electrical industry. The scholarships honour the legacy of Doug Baldwin, a former President at EFC who mentored many young people and helped shape their future careers in the dynamic electrical industry.
