Getting The Most Value From Your Scholarships
Getting the most value from your scholarships
Choosing a graduate program in Business is a difficult and important decision. Not only do you have to find a program with the right fit, but you also need to figure out how you will pay for it. Business schools often provide scholarships, awards, and bursaries to help offset the cost of tuition.
When comparing your funding offers from different schools, evaluate the value of a scholarship compared to the cost of tuition. Often a scholarship that seems large in value is due to higher tuition fees. Also consider what kind of funding you can get when you are already in a program. Are there opportunities for funding in niche areas of study? Does the school have strong ties to external organizations in the industry that provide scholarships to students? Does the school provide funding for case competition and exchange? Are there scholarships available for graduating students? Does the school have part-time employment opportunities for students?
