| Description: | In the first year of your welding diploma, you'll get hands-on training in shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) and flux-cored arc welding (FCAW). In second year, you'll learn advanced techniques including flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead welding. This diploma prepares you for structural and pipe/pressure vessel applications.

Eligible applicants will be selected on the basis of their previous academic achievement (the average of their six highest senior-level credits, including required courses). Applicants who do not meet the admission requirements for this program may be advised individually regarding other related programs.
