| Description: | In Humber’s Electrical Techniques - Industrial Electrician Apprenticeship program, students will learn to use computer software to communicate and generate business related documents. - learn the Canadian Electrical code in order to comply with mandatory regulations governing the electrical trade
- become familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act as it pertains to the electrical trade
- describe the function, application and operation of trade-related measurement tools, hand tools and equipment in order to be able to construct and maintain standard electrical equipment (power circuits, electronics, instrumentation, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC and other types of control equipment and software)
- read and create various construction and maintenance drawings and be able to use a drawing to fabricate designs using the appropriate scales employing typical construction materials and service equipment
- apply electrical principles, concepts and perform associated calculations
