The Advanced Architectural Studies (M.Sc.) at University of Cyprus is an interdisciplinary graduate program offered through the Department of Architecture. The program is designed to create a flexible platform for advanced research, design experimentation, and “research-by-design” approaches in architecture. It focuses on four major areas: architectural history, theory and criticism; digital technologies and communication media; construction technology and sustainable design; and urban design and planning. The curriculum encourages students to explore contemporary architectural challenges through both theoretical inquiry and practical experimentation.

The program is taught in English and typically takes 18 months to complete. Students engage in graduate coursework and research work totaling 90 ECTS credits, preparing them for professional advancement, specialized architectural practice, or further doctoral studies. With its strong emphasis on innovation, sustainability, and interdisciplinary thinking, the degree is well suited for students interested in advanced architectural research, urban development, and emerging digital design technologies.
