Description:

Transforming the lives of children and youth facing adversity requires knowledge of the specialized theories and techniques needed to advocate for their rights. In the Child and Youth Care degree program, you'll learn to design and implement developmental, preventative and therapeutic programs. Further exploration of policy areas, research and advocacy options will equip you with the skills you need to make an impact. You'll gain experience with small interactive classes, live actor simulations, local and international internships and mentoring opportunities. An independent research project will prepare you to promote the participation of children and youth in society.

  •  Grade12 English (EAE4U)  or  Grade12 English (ENG4U)  or  Grade12 English 

Completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), 6 Grade 12 U or M courses with a minimum overall average of 70%, and the following required Grade 12 U courses (minimum grade of 70% in each):

  • English/anglais (ENG4U/EAE4U preferred)

Applicants not educated in Ontario must submit evidence of education equivalent to the OSSD with six Grade 12 U or M courses.
