Description:

Biology is the study of living organisms - from bacteria and cells to plants and animals. This program teaches concepts spanning from cellular structure and function, to the environment and bioinformatics. Our Biology degree program integrates studies in chemistry, computers and management. You'll gain experience through an optional paid co-op, industry-oriented research and by completing an independent thesis project. Options in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, Biophysics or Environmental Biology give you more opportunities to customize your degree. You can also pursue an optional specialization in Management Sciences.

  •  Grade12 English (ENG4U)  or  Grade12 English (EAE4U)  or  Grade12 English 
  •  Grade12 Advanced Functions 
  • 2 of  Grade12 Biology  or  Grade12 Chemistry  or  Grade12 Physics 

Completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), 6 Grade 12 U or M courses with a minimum overall average of 70%, and the following required Grade 12 U courses (minimum grade of 70% in each):

  • English/anglais (ENG4U/EAE4U preferred)
  • Advanced Functions (MHF4U)
  • 2 of Physics (SPH4U), Chemistry (SCH4U) or Biology (SBI4U)

Applicants not educated in Ontario must submit evidence of education equivalent to the OSSD with six Grade 12 U or M courses.
