Applicants are required to have an overall average of 83% and at least five academic grade 12 subjects, including German (as an academic subject).
Additionally, applicants who have not been taught and examined in German throughout their secondary schooling must complete the TestDaF. The minimum level required is TestDaF level 4 (TDN4) in all 4 components. The TestDaF is strongly preferred and should be taken where possible, but alternative an alternative German language test which meets CERF B2 standards may be considered (e.g. Goethe-Zertifikat B2) test.
