Description:This course teaches you the fundamentals of anthropology - the comparative study of human diversity. Social and linguistic anthropology explore how humans make and view their worlds, drawing on ethnographic studies of society, culture and language from around the world. Evolutionary anthropology includes the study of human evolution, primates and biological and behavioural human diversity.

Developing your knowledge of the variety and evolution of human customs, social organisation and behaviour, you will learn to apply theories and research techniques used across the discipline. You will receive training in both qualitative and quantitative methodologies and in descriptive, analytic and project management techniques. To develop your skills you will undertake fieldwork in communities in Bristol and further afield.
