| Description | As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist (DIT), you'll be a vital part of healthcare teams working closely with patients across all stages of care. This advanced diploma program is the second of its kind in Ontario to offer specialized training in MRI, ultrasound or X-ray/CT. You'll build skills required for delivering patient-centred care in a variety of healthcare settings. In your first year, you'll gain foundational knowledge about how MRI, ultrasound and X-ray/CT equipment capture images.
You'll then take specialized courses in your chosen discipline during Year 2 and Year 3 of the program. After you graduate, you can obtain your second diagnostic imaging specialty within one academic year by completing seven more courses.
