| Description | Information technology is an ever-changing field. Mobile smartphones, wearables, and tablets have become commonplace computing devices. Digital citizens have started to replace physical computers (servers and desktops) with these high performance, low profile purpose-built devices.
In order to help organizations best utilize the small computing and mobile technologies, and to meet the demands of the digital consumer marketplace, specialized software development skills are required in these fields. This four-semester Ontario College Diploma program prepares students for careers in the software development industry, while providing focus on the significant differences in mobile and wearable platforms, specialized frameworks and programming languages, coding practices and techniques commonly employed in the design and development of purpose-built mobile applications. You will gain valuable skills and knowledge in the various platforms (tablet, smartphone, and wearable), infrastructure services, cloud technologies, as well as software design methodologies. | | |
