You must be a registered Boilermaker apprentice through Skills Ontario.


This apprenticeship is regulated by the Ontario College of Trades. You and your employer are required to register through your local Apprenticeship Branch Office of the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD).

You will be scheduled for the in-school portion of training by MLITSD. Apprentices who have been scheduled for the in-school training will be sent an Offer of Classroom Training letter from the MLITSD. For more information, visit https://www.ontario.ca/page/start-apprenticeship.

Description

Humber’s Mechanical Techniques - Construction Boilermaker Apprenticeship program provides the required technical and in-school training for a boilermaker apprentice.

Boilermakers are skilled tradespeople who work in the heavy industry sector. This sector includes steel mills, oil refineries, cement plants, pulp and paper mills, and power generation including nuclear power plants, hydro electric generation, coal fired boilers and co-generation power plants. Boilermakers also work on the pollution control systems in these plants.
