Current high school students 

Grade 12 students can apply for conditional admission based on their final Grade 11 and/or interim Grade 12 marks by uploading their most recent grades (e.g., unofficial transcript or a report card) through EducationPlannerBC. Final admission depends on high school graduation and meeting the specific requirements of the program. 

Note: Applicants from B.C high schools must release their grades to CapU via the BC Ministry of Education at Student Transcripts Services (STS) as soon as possible.

Description

Connect your passion for supporting children and youth through the Education Assistant (EA) Certificate program at Capilano University. 

This 16-month, part-time – evenings and weekends – program will begin in September and will give you the theory and practical strategies to help children and adolescents in the school system. 

Education Assistants support students in K – 12 who present with a wide range of abilities. 

EAs are in high demand in B.C., the province is experiencing a critical shortage of trained and certified professionals for on-call, part-time or full-time positions.
