Description

Sociology explores society and the promise of, and resistance to, social change. In the Sociology degree program at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), you'll explore the essential themes of power, inequalities and movements for equity and social justice. Your knowledge will help you develop a critical understanding of social media, cities and their challenges, immigration and belonging and Indigenous perspectives. Gain experience through an optional paid co-op, international and community engagement projects, advanced research training, a capstone bridging course and an optional thesis. You'll enter your career with specialized knowledge of how we all shape society and how it structures our lives.
