| Description | Our degree gives you access to the whole span of English literature, from the Anglo-Saxon period to the 21st century. Far from being restricted to the printed word, you will be encouraged to make connections between literature, film, art, music, history, language and popular culture, inspired by teaching that reflects these intriguing connections.
You have the freedom to shape your path as you explore the subject. After the building blocks of Year One, you have complete freedom of choice, with no compulsory modules from Year Two. You can explore multiple periods and genres in a more traditional path or combine literary study with analysis of other cultural forms.
