| Prerequisites Notes | Applicants must have a Diploma of Secondary Studies (DES) or equivalent, including Secondary V Language of Instruction, Secondary V Second Language, Secondary IV Science, Secondary IV Mathematics, and Secondary IV History. Students with a DES missing any of the above subjects may be admitted, space permitting, but may be required to complete remedial courses.
Specific Program Requirements for the Languages Profile: All candidates must be eligible to take French Level 102 in order to meet the ministerial requirements for the course given in French in Term 4. Placement testing may be required. | | |
| Cost | All returning students are required to pay their regular student fees ($164) in full by June 7, 2017 before registering for their courses. New students are required to pay the $164 in full by June 30, 2017 before they register. Payments may be made in full before registration by cash, debit card, Visa, MasterCard, money order or cheque. Post dated cheques will not be accepted. Any remaining fees (non-resident of Quebec, convocation fees, part time in-program fees, etc…) will be assessed by August 22 and due by September 8, 2017. Late payment fees of $25.00 will be applied to overdue accounts.

| Description | Writers, content creators and lovers of literature and the arts, this is the program for you! Each profile in ALC allows you to experience all the tastes and flavours of the program, with the Arts and Culture Profile offering the greatest range of options. All ALC students and teachers share their passions for the arts in tight-knit communities of like-minded artists, writers, and communicators. Required and supplementary course choices allow students to build a strong foundational knowledge in a number of artistic fields. Dawson ALC students benefit from events and shows at our downtown campus and have easy access to all the arts and culture offerings of Montreal. In an age when artificial intelligence is leading to rapid changes in society, there is a big demand for creativity and innovative thinking.
