Students applying to the Bachelor of Engineering (University Transfer) must have:

  • 50% in ELA 30-1
  • 60% in MATH 30-1
  • 60% in MATH 31
  • 50% in CHEM 30
  • 50% in PHYS 30

Students with a grade of 60-79% in Math 30-1 and/or Math 31 are recommended to complete the RDP Math preparation course, normally during the last week of August, before starting the program.

Description

Professional engineers apply principles of science and mathematics to solve real-world problems and achieve practical goals through innovation. This field requires a creative mind, scientific knowledge and powerful problem-solving skills.

The first year of studies at RDP will provide you with fundamental skills in mathematics, computing and science. You will apply this learning to solve engineering problems in such courses as Engineering Statics, Dynamics and Design.

The program is based on the first year of Engineering at the University of Alberta, and is designed to transfer in full to the U of A.
