Prerequisites NotesStudents admitted to our program normally will have completed a master's degree and a research thesis in educational psychology. Students with a master's degree in a different area may be considered for admission when the applicant and a faculty advisor develop a more extensive program of courses that builds requisite knowledge in educational psychology.These applicants should contact the academic coordinators or a faculty member with aligned research interests. A thesis-based MA with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5/4.33 will normally be required for admission, as well as submitted evidence that the applicant is capable of undertaking substantial original research.

DescriptionWork collaboratively with faculty members in our small and dynamic program. Graduates of this program work to enhance educational settings and address issues related to learning and cognition. Some examples of careers include: two-thirds of our graduates work as faculty members at universities and colleges; advisory positions for teachers, social workers, parents; educational consultants, analysis; directors of instruction; training and development specialists; and researchers.
