| Description | This unique, vocationally oriented course offers you the chance to explore your love of English Literature with degree-level study, combined with a practical course leading to a British Council approved TEFLi qualification which will allow you to pursue employment opportunities with a wide range of employers in the UK and overseas.
There is a strong demand for teachers of English as a foreign language, and graduates with a combination of literature and an internationally valued teaching qualification will find numerous career opportunities opening up to them. In many countries, particularly in the Indian sub-continent and more broadly in Asia, an English degree is expected to be based on literature, making this degree particularly relevant if you are an overseas student from those areas, or wish to travel and work there.
