DescriptionOur BA Philosophy and Spanish will suit those with an enquiring mind and a passion for exploring the culture of another country and society. This course provides a valuable skill set that is ideally tailored to the increasingly globalised workplace.

Spanish is the second most widely spoken European language in the world and is the second language of the USA. Studying a modern language in the context of its speakers' history, literature, experience and outlooks opens horizons and challenges preconceptions, including about one's own language and country. In each year you will take an equal number of credits in Spanish and philosophy. You will spend your third year abroad working or studying at a partner institution in a Spanish-speaking environment. This will enable you to refine your language skills and cultural understanding.
