Nipissing is a primarily undergraduate university located on an impressive 720 acres of natural Canadian Shield forest on the traditional territory of Nipissing First Nation, and within lands protected by the Robinson-Huron treaty of 1850. The city of North Bay, Ontario, is an easy 3.5 hour drive north of Toronto and 4 hours west of Ottawa. Our focus is on student success, which is assisted by an inclusive community culture, an average class size of 29 students, and by offering ample opportunities beyond traditional classroom learning for students to roll up their sleeves and learn by doing.

We offer programs within the faculties of Arts and Science, Applied and Professional Studies, and the Schulich School of Education. Students can earn degrees and explore courses in a wide variety of disciplines from traditional fields such as Math or English, they can explore innovative fields such as Computer Science or Gender Equality and Social Justice, or they can work towards their professional designation in programs like Nursing or Social Work.
