Dreaming of studying in NYC? St. John's University offers generous scholarships and work opportunities for Canadian students. Explore them below!
Merit-based scholarships
St. John's offers very generous merit-based scholarships (up to $35,000 per year) to all students who apply and are admitted. These are based on the student's academic ability. Applicants are automatically reviewed for merit scholarships and are notified in their acceptance letter. Please visit the St. John's scholarships page for all the details.
Catholic school scholarships
As a Catholic university, we support families who are committed to a Catholic education by providing an annual award of $3,000 per year. This scholarship is automatically awarded to incoming first-year students who will be graduating from a Catholic high school and entering St. John's in the fall.
Application-based scholarships
In addition to merit-based scholarships, students can also apply for some scholarships. Students don't need to wait for an admission decision to apply, though only students with a completed admission application on file will be considered. Visit the St. John's website for full details on application-based scholarships.
Catholic Scholars take part in a four-year developmental program that translates faith into action. Students will commit themselves to faith-based leadership training, service, and prayer, and form a deeper understanding of what it means to be a leader inspired by the Catholic tradition. Explore Catholic Scholars on the St. John's website.
The Ozanam Scholars program connects small student groups with dedicated faculty to contribute to solving real world problems in local, national and international communities. Only first-year incoming students are eligible. Check out the fulld details on the Ozanam Scholars program here.
Catholic Student Scholarships offer a limited number of awards (based on availability) to college- or university-bound Catholic students regardless of the secondary school they attend, including non-Catholic high schools. Students with a submitted admission application can access scholarship applications in their online portal.
