Birmingham Offers Scholarships to International Students Pursuing Studies in Law

Did you know? Birmingham Law School offers scholarships for select international students across all of our LLB programmes, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

As part of our work to make Birmingham Law School accessible to students from all backgrounds, we are thrilled to be able to award 10 scholarships in the form of £3,000 per year towards tuition fee payments. (Approximately $5,570 CAD at time of writing.)

The scholarships will be awarded to the highest performing students starting their University of Birmingham law programme in the 2025/26 academic year.

Law scholarship eligibility and selection criteria

To be eligible for the LLB and LLB for Graduates Scholarship, candidates must:

  • Be classed by the University as an overseas fee payer for tuition fee purposes and be able to pay the outstanding tuition fees not covered by the scholarship.
  • Have applied for, and received an offer and selected the University of Birmingham as their firm choice in UCAS for a full-time undergraduate programme at Birmingham Law School starting September 2025. You must be entering the first year of an undergraduate programme based at Birmingham's UK campus. Alternatively, you must be a direct applicant through one of our approved Law School partnerships.
  • Not already be registered and studying on a programme at the University of Birmingham in the UK.
  • Be self-funding and have sufficient funds to cover the full cost of living at the University of Birmingham, plus any visa/travel expenses associated with studying in the UK.
  • Accept an offer from the University of Birmingham for a programme within Birmingham Law School by the deadline: June 30, 2025.
